Arts & Culture
At Drakensberg Primary School, we pride ourselves on a vibrant Arts & Culture program that enriches our students’ educational experience. Our offerings include Junior and Senior Choir, where students can express their musical talents and enjoy the joy of singing. Carpe Diem and the Debate Club provide platforms for intellectual growth and public speaking skills, fostering confidence and critical thinking.
Our Revue and Hip Hop Dance programs allow students to explore various performance arts, while the Gumboots dance and Pom Poms team celebrate our cultural heritage and school spirit through rhythmic movement and teamwork. The Voortrekkers club connects students with our rich historical traditions, promoting leadership and camaraderie.
Students also participate in the Eisteddfod, showcasing their talents in a variety of artistic disciplines. These diverse activities help students discover their passions, build their skills, and develop a lifelong appreciation for the arts and culture. At Drakensberg Primary School, we are committed to nurturing creativity and cultural awareness in every child.
School Excursions
We believe in the transformative power of school camps. These immersive experiences allow our students to learn and grow outside the classroom, fostering independence, teamwork, and resilience in a natural setting. From outdoor activities to educational excursions, our camps offer unforgettable adventures that build friendships and create lasting memories. Led by dedicated staff, our camps provide a safe and enriching environment where children can explore, discover, and develop valuable life skills.
